2013 Honda CB 500 X Photos
Honda brought three new 500cc motorcycles to the market for the 2013 model year – the CBR500R, the CB500F and the adventure-minded bike highlighted in the photos above, the CB500X.
The CB500 X features styling that is popular in the world adventure motorcycles, including the half fairing, front beak, compact windscreen and skid plate. Much of this styling arrives from the CB500X’s older brother, the NC700X, another entry-level motorcycle that receives praise for its 60+ mpg.
The CB500X also shares the same suspension as the NC700X, including the 41mm fork and Pro Link single shock, though the NC has more wheel travel (NC700X – 6″ up front, 5.9″ out back; CB500X – 4.9″ up front, 4.7″ out back).
Powering the CB500X is the all-new parallel twin 500cc engine, which features Honda’s Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) and a counterbalancer that helps keep vibrations down.
