2012 Honda NC 700 X Wallpaper
Honda’s newest motorcycle, the 2012 NC700X, brings something new to stateside riders, the bike considered a “crossover” model between standard commuter and an adventure tourer.
The NC 700 X has many rider-friendly features, such as 21 liters of internal storage that includes space where the fuel-tank usually resides (fuel tank is under the seat), this area able to swallow a full-face helmet. The bike is also offered with the option of Honda’s second-generation automatic Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) that arrives will Combined Antilock Braking System.
And then there’s the price. Honda’s new NC700X is offered for under $7,000, which is half the price of many adventure tourers on the market.
And with this price arrives much technology. The NC700X features a liquid-cooled, 670cc parallel twin that sits in the chassis at a unique 62-degree forward lean. The bike features Honda’s reliable Programmed Fuel Injection, and the motor is hooked to a six-speed transmission or optional DCT.
As for suspension, the NC700X arrives with a 41mm fork up front with six inches of travel, and a Pro-Link single shock out back with 5.9 inches of travel. As for brakes, it’s very simple – a single 320mm discs up front squeezed by a dual-piston caliper (three-piston caliper for ABS), and a single 240mm disc out back squeezed by a single-piston caliper.
Honda also offers loads of geniune accessories for the 2012 NC700X, which is offered in one color – Light Silver Metallic.
