2012 Husqvarna TR 650 Motorcycles
Since taking over Husqvarna back in October 2007, BMW has helped Husqvarna bring the Husky name back to the streets.
Husqvarna officially re-entered the street bike scene when the Nuda 900 and Nuda 900 R “cross-over” motorcycles were released in 2011. These were followed by a few concept models, and the latest on-road bikes – the TR 650 Strada (road) and TR 650 Terra (light terrain).
The TR 650 motorcycles feature the same engine that powers the BMG G 650 GS – the 652 single-cylinder, the Husky model producing 58 horsepower at 7,250 rpm and 44 ft. lbs. of torque at 5,750 rpm.
The TR 650 Strada and Terra feature a split-backbone tubular steel frame, with a removable rear frame and front section bolted to the engine. Up front, the TR 650 features a 46mm upside-down telescopic fork, and out back a torsionally-stiff dual swing arm made of pentagonal steel tubing in conjunction with a centrally-mounted rear shock with progressive linkage.
The TR 650 Strada arrives standard with switchable ABS, and ABS is available as an option on the TR 650 Terra.
