During the seventh edition of World Ducati Week 2012 set for June 21-24, the Italian manufacturer will have a not-so-surprising official car partner – Audi.

Audi, which bought the Ducati brand in April, will display its products throughout the paddock of Misano during Word Ducati Week, titled “The Planet of the Champions” for 2012.

Also joining Audi will be the exotic car brand Lamborghini (also owed under Audi leadership), which will display tow new models to thousands of Ducatisti at WDW2012.

Ducati says many of Audi’s current models will be on display throughout the event, including the new S6, S8 and R8 LMS; Audi personnel will be on hand to explain the technical aspects of the new models. A few famed Audi car racers will also walk the paddock, talking to many Ducati enthusiast.

World Ducati Week 2012 attendees will also be able to have a first-hand experience with some of Audi’s high-performance R8 LMS and R8 V10 on the Misano Circuit. Audi will offer Ducatisti the opportunity to ride along in one of these super cars around the famed track with Audi professional drivers at the wheel.

Ducati says “places for the white-knuckle, 500+ horsepower experience will be awarded via the Audi raffle, from which valuable Audi driving experience vouchers can also be won.”

Amping up the super car prescence at WDW2012 will be Ducati’s Sant’Agata Bolognese neighbor, Lamborghini. The brand is expected to bring along its Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale and Aventador LP 700-4 to the Misano paddock.

Like Ducati, the legendary marque is proudly situated in what the region calls “Motor Valley” and their head-turning super cars are sure to be a massive hit with Ducati’s passionate fans of performance.
