AltRider: Conserve the Ride 2012

2012 Conserve the Ride

AltRide has joined forces with the Seven Mountains Conservation Corp (SMCC) to offer “Conserve the Ride 2012” in Central Pennsylvania June 22-24.

Proceeds from the ride will benefit SMCC, which is dedicated to the promotion and preservation of off-road motorcycle riding in the nearby trails of Pennsylvania.

The exciting three-day event kicks off with an intense EnduroCross competition on SMCC’s custom built track with live pro riders. The stunning Pa. forests are surrounded by lush foliage, narrow bridges, sand crossings, never-ending gravel and rock trails – and that’s just some of the diverse terrain that’s waiting to be ridden in the back roads.

AltRider reports that 160 miles have been mapped out (including GPS routes) to create incredible experiences for every skill level. Informative seminars from pro racers will teach off-road riding techniques so the rider can feel every bit confident when tackling the varied Pennsylvanian terrain. The event also features ISDE (International Six Days Enduro) racers that will be presenting about the dangerous tales they’ve endeavored to cross the finish lines at national races.

And of course food; delicious regional cuisine will be provided for every meal including locally brewed beers back at the campfires. There will be prize giveaways and an auction to further donate to the SMCC cause.

Conserve the Ride 2012 ($250) includes:

  • A weekend of GPS routed rides created by the members of SMCC for all skill levels
  • Live EnduroCross show with pro racers
  • 2 nights of camping in the scenic forests of Pennsylvania
