2011 Yamaha Motorcycle
Yamaha’s highly acclaimed MotoGP M1 derivative – the crossplane crankshaft R1 – is mechanically unchanged for 2011, although a creative Candy Red/Raven graphic design joins the Raven and usual Blue/White paint schemes.
Not available in showrooms, Yamaha Accessories sells an ultra-cool yellow/black Kenny Roberts replica paint scheme, but it is a full bodywork replacement.
The R1’s motor delivers outrageous low-down torque in such a user-friendly, tractable way, that it translates to smooth corner exits without sacrificing top-end power.
Confidence-inspiring handling helps make the R1 into a wonderful superbike for the street.
