2011 Brno MotoGP: Highlights (Video)

With much rain looming in the practice sessions for the Czech Republic Grand Prix, Round 11 of the 2011 MotoGP Championship, raceday at Brno got underway with dry conditions.

The man who was blistering fast throughout the practice sessions, Repsol Honda’s Dani Pedrosa, quickly became the favorite. But a crash on the third lap ended the Spaniard’s day.

This left some usual podium finishers up front to battle it out at Brno – Yamaha Factory Racing’s Jorge Lorenzo, and the Repsol Honda duo of Casey Stoner and Andrea Dovizioso.

And by the end of the 22-lap race at Brno, a familiar name was victorious – Stoner; the Australian took his sixth win of the 2011 MotoGP Championship at Brno, extending his lead over Lorenzo by 32 points.

Joining Stoner on the podium was his teammate Dovizioso and a name not familiar with the podium, San Carlo Honda Gresini’s Marco Simoncelli; it was sophomore Simoncelli’s first podium of his MotoGP career.

Attached above are official Brno MotoGP highlights from the FIM.
