2011 X Games 17Former Supercross racer Nate Adams has been at it a long time. And although he suffered a seven-year drought of no gold medals in X Games since 2004, he has more than redeemed himself this year in FMX.
The Freestyle Motorcross rider took the Speed and Style final on Saturday, giving him another Gold Medal. With his gold medal in Friday night’s Monster Energy X Games 17, Adams now has 12 X Games medals, including three gold.On Saturday during the Speed and Final FMX event, Monster Energy says Nate put together a solid run choked full of flip tricks starting out with a huge 360 followed by backflip no hander and following backflip lazyboy to put him into the final.During the FMX semi-finals for X Games 17 , Adams completed the same run, but wasn’t able to get the jump on and start.Monster Energy says “In the end, Adams words could not have been more true. Nate made sure to stay right on the rear wheel of Mike Mason allowing his score to bump Mason into second and secure X Games gold for Adams.”X Games 17 – Saturday Speed and Style Final Results: 1.
