Bayside Harley-Davidson Awarded Top Honors

Harley Dealership News

In February, dealers from across the country attended the longest running and most prestigious retail competition, the Dealernews Top 100 Excellence in Powersports award ceremony in Indianapolis.

Out of an estimated 14,000 powersport retailers, Bayside Harley-Davidson of Portsmouth, Va., was awarded “Top Ten Dealer,” “Best Theme,” and the “#1 Service Department,” in North America. The 36,000 sq. ft. store is a plethora of naval structures and traditions.

Kevin Johnson (Bayside President & COO) says: “As home to the largest concentration of military instillations in the world, our dealership was designed and dedicated to honor our Armed Services, specifically the Navy. As a customer enters our store, military or civilian, they are welcomed aboard the USS Bayside.”

Regarding their award winning and state of the art service facility, Don Ramos, Bayside’s Service Manager for over 11 years says, “We share our client’s passion for riding and for Harley-Davidson, which makes us passionate about our work. We treat each customer like we would want to be treated, like they are family. We also take on issues other dealerships don’t want to tackle because there isn’t anything we can’t fix.”

Bayside Harley-Davidson Portsmouth boast’s 6 Master Technicians with over 60 years experience combined.

Chris Cowden (Bayside Harley-Davidson’s Technical Service Manager and Foreman) says: “Our top priority is maintaining the quality of the Harley-Davidson brand and the quality of the work we put out.”

Bayside Harley-Davidson Portsmouth is the only authorized Harley-Davidson performance center, and the only Harley-Davidson dealership open 7 days a week in the Hampton Roads area.

Maurice Slaughter (Bayside Harley-Davidson Owner) says: “I always knew we had the best service department in the country, and this award now confirms it.”
