JCR Honda Wins SCORE San Felipe 250

San Felipe 250 Motorcycle Racing

Racing in the 2011 SCORE San Felipe 250 Pro Motorcycle Class 22, the duo from San Clemente, Calif., of Colton Udall and Jeff "OX" Kargola dominated aboard the JCR/Honda 6X CRF450X finishing first in class and first motorcycle last weekend.

At the motorcycle race in San Felipe in Baja California, Mexico, Udall rode from the start to race mile 30, Jeff "OX" Kargola rode a 140 mile middle section from race mile 30 to 170. Udall rode from 170 to the finish at race mile 252.

The JCR/Honda duo won convincingly in 4:36:51, averaging 54.63 mph over the tough course, finishing 21+ minutes in front of the 2nd place bike. In the first 25 years of this race, Honda has earned 16 overall motorcycle victories including the last six years straight and 14 of the last 15 years.

Colton Udall (JCR Honda) says: "Wow, two years in a row! My bike ran great. I can’t thank my team enough. I don’t know what it is – I feel really good out here in San Felipe. It’s where I got my first SCORE win and I feel very confident here. I owe it all to the JCR/Honda program, Pit Crews, TJ, my partner Jeff "OX" Kargola, Eric Siraton, and most of all Johnny Campbell. Thanks very much! I love Baja."

Jeff "OX" Kargola (JCR Honda) says: "My part of the ride was a long stretch. The San Felipe course is no joke – it’s not smooth. It’s brutal out there. It beat the heck out of me but it’s a marathon, not a sprint. I took it easy and tried to pace myself and ride a smooth, clean race. I kept it on two wheels and focused on making forward progress. It was a perfect race two years in a row!"

Johnny Campbell (JCR Honda) says: "Colton and OX rode a smart race from start to finish and both have been working really hard. It was great to see them repeat in San Felipe. A really big THANK YOU to all the JCR race support/pit staff for dedicating their time to supporting the team and all the JCR/Honda race support teams that pitted with us in San Felipe."

Congratulations to the following class winners that pitted with JCR:

  • Mike Johnson (1st class 30 CRF450X)
  • Donald Lewis (1st class 60 CRF450X)
  • Brandon Brown (1st class 24 TRX450R)
  • Mike Cafro (1st class 25 TRX450R)

The defending SCORE Champions, riding the 1X Honda CRF450X, Kendall Norman and Quinn Cody had the lead early in the race, but unfortunately suffered a radiator puncture which ultimately caused race ending motor damage at race mile 74.

The entire JCR/Honda family would like to dedicate this win to Justin Imhof; your strength and determination is inspiring!
