Daytona Alligator Enduro: Husaberg Victory

Husaberg Racing News

Husaberg Factory rider Mike Lafferty won the Alligator Enduro during Daytona’s Bike Week extravaganza aboard his Husaberg FE 570.

The Alligator seems to be one of Mike’s favourites as he already won it last year when it was part of the National Enduro Championship giving Husaberg it’s first ever National Enduro victory.

Lafferty, who raced the opening round of the GNCC Series two days ago, was back at it again at the Alligator Enduro held in Daytona Beach, FL. Rain the day prior to the race had made the track just moist enough for perfect conditions.

Mike Lafferty (Husaberg FE570) says: "The course was great. It wasn’t dusty at all and I felt comfortable all day."

Lafferty won two special tests, finished 2nd in two others and tied for the lead in the final test. When the score cards were tallied he ended up taking the win by 40 seconds over Russell Bobbitt. Lafferty’s teammate, Nick Fahringer put in an impressive ride to finish 3rd overall placing two Husaberg machines on the podium.

Nick Fahringer (Husaberg FE570) says: "I was very happy to finish on the podium with Mike today. It was a great day for racing and a good confidence booster heading to the second round of the AMA National Enduro Series,."
