STYX to Play 2011 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

The rumor of STYX playing at the 30th Anniversary of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally became a reality this week, as the Buffalo Chip Campground confirmed that the rock band of Chicago will play on the Wolfman Jack stage on Aug. 7, 2011.

STYX, who have 15 studio albums and 32 hit singles, will join Bachman & Turner at Buffalo Chip during the 2011 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

STYX is known for their hits "Best Thing," "Lady," "Fooling Yourself," "Renegade," "Babe," "The Best of Times," "Too Much Time on My Hands," and "Come Sail Away."

The band, which consists of Tommy Shaw, Todd Sucherman Ricky Phillips, Lawrence Gowan and James JY Young, has been one of the most prolific bands in rock ‘n’ roll history.

STYX will now join the growing list of top bands slated to play at the 2011 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally: Def Leppard, Alice Cooper, George Thorogood & the Destroyers and Toby Keith.
