Alpinestars: Field & Blaster Hood Jackets

Alpinestars Street Wear Review

Alpinestars has always been known for its high performance protective gear for motorcycle and automotive racing, as well as other action sports.

Founded in 1963 by Sante Mazzarolo in Asolo, Italy, the company began by making hiking and ski boots, but soon turned its focus to making boots for motocross and then road racing.

The 1990s saw the company branch out into manufacturing all types of protective gear for motorcycling, ranging from gloves and jackets to full leather suits. When I found out that they had a more traditional line of men’s clothing I was excited to check it out.

I got both the Field (Olive Green) and the Blaster Hood (Black) jackets and was instantly impressed with the style, build quality and focus to detail.

The Field jacket is a classic play on a military jacket although it’s definitely more refined. With the polyester fleece lining, front zipper with snaps, and the sturdy cotton canvas exterior, the Alpinestars Field jacket makes for a warm stylish jacket. It also features two breast pockets with snaps, two side pockets and an inside pocket.

The Alpinestars Blaster Hood jacket is a lighter-weight hoodie made from a combination of flexible cotton jersey material and a sturdier cotton canvas. It features a front zipper with snaps and 4 frontal snap pockets to go along with the traditional side pockets.

I’ve been wearing both of these items religiously, and they have become part of my go to daily gear. Impressed with the quality and style of the Alpinestars daily wear, I’m looking forward to checking out more items in the future.

You can find these items and more on the Alpinestars website.
