AMA Legislative News
The Congressional Motorcycle Caucus has a new member: Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.), the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) reports.
West, a new member of Congress, joins others in the bipartisan group that works to promote safety for motorcyclists.
Reps. Michael Burgess (R-Texas) and Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) are the caucus co-chairs.
Allen West says: "I’m very pleased to be able to join the Congressional Motorcycle Caucus to work with my esteemed colleagues on issues related to motorcycling. I’m hopeful that I can make a valuable contribution to the efforts of the caucus."
Ed Moreland (AMA senior vice president for government relations) says: "It’s great to have Rep. West join others in the House in their effort to ensure that motorcyclists aren’t forgotten on Capitol Hill. We look forward to working with Rep. West, and the entire caucus, for years to come."
