2011 AMA Sportbike Video

With the 2011 Daytona 200 a month away, many Daytona Sportbike teams continue to analyze the data collected during the first test of the season.

During the Dunlop Tire Test in January, the AMA Sportbike teams were able complete some laps on the newly paved Daytona track, although the test was shortened a day due to rain.

In this video, On the Throttle TV highlights the Sportbike test, which consisted of only one session on Day 2 due additional rain.

By day’s end, the leading rider was P.J. Jacobsen on the Celtic Racing Ducati 848EVO. He topped the times with the best lap of 1:51.822, with an average speed of 93.362 mph.

Jake Zemke, new to the Project 1 Atlanta team this year, finished second on his Yamaha R6 with a time of 1:51.987/93.225 MPH. Jason DiSalvo initially set the fastest time, returning to the series aboard the Team Latus Ducati 848, but ultimately settled for third.
