Feld Motor Sports announced Thursday that Smith Optics, based in Ketchum, Idaho, signed a multi-year agreement to be the official and exclusive eyewear of the AMA Arenacross Series, which begins Jan. 8, 2011 at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla.
The agreement marks Smith’s first partnership with the AMA Arenacross Series. The company has been a longtime supporter of motor sports, including supercross and motocross with sponsorship of such racing and freestyle athletes as legend Travis Pastrana as well as two-time women’s AMA Motocross champion Ashley Fiolek.
The Arenacross sponsorship opportunity gives Smith Optics the chance to enhance its brand and strengthen its relationship and presence with fans and athletes of the action sports community.

Founded in 1965 by orthodontist Dr. Bob Smith, an innovator action sports enthusiast in his own right who hand made goggles in exchange for ski lift tickets, Smith Optics has grown to become a major player in the eyewear industry.
