Pala Motocross: A Day in the Dirt

The 13th running of the classic event “A Day in the Dirt” took place this past weekend at the Pala Motocross Park just north of San Diego, Calif.

Newly crowned GNCC champion Josh Strang made the trip out to SoCal for the event and gave Jeremy McGrath a run for his money in the Pro/Am race on Saturday. Strang hounded McGrath throughout the 40-minute race and would cross the line in second place behind McGrath.

On Sunday morning, Strang teamed up with his fellow countryman, Brett Metcalfe for the Moto-A-GoGo Pro/Am Team Race. The speedy duo was riding well but suffered some brake line problems and finished the event in second place.

The final event of the weekend for Strang was the Coup-de-Grace race on Sunday afternoon. Strang put in another solid ride en route to a second place finish behind Andrew Short.

The Vurbmoto crew put together a highlight video of some of the racing action on Saturday and it features some good shots of Strang tracking down McGrath.
