MotoGP: Dovizioso at San Siro Charity

MotoGP News

MotoGP star Andrea Dovizioso and FIM Motocross Champ Tony Cairoli were at San Siro Stadium in Milan Sunday for the Inter Campus charity.

Both Repsol Honda riders were brought together by Kopron, a sponsor of Dovizioso and partner of the Repsol Honda team, for the charity auction whose proceeds are going to the association Inter Campus in support of a social project aimed at children in Brazil where Kopron has a production unity.

Since 1997 Inter Campus have been achieving worldwide social measures and cooperation activities using football as an educational tool to return to 10,000 children the right to play.

The leather suit that Andrea Dovizioso ran the last race of the 2010 MotoGP championship, the Grand Prix of Valencia, will be auctioned on eBay with the helmet of Tony Cairoli, Sneijder’s shirt, Eto’o’s shoes and Julio Cesar’s gloves.

The eBay auction featuring Dovizioso’s MotoGP leathers began Sunday, and runs for a week; for more information please visit the websites kopron.com or ebay.it/charity/

Andrea Dovizioso (Repsol Honda MotoGP) says: "It ‘s an honor to participate in this initiative. We are lucky because we have turned our passion for the sport into a job."

"By donating my leather suit I have the opportunity today to contribute to a socially useful project that identifies an educational tool in sport to reach the most disadvantaged children. Sport has played an important role in my growth."

"I got the first bike when I was 4 years old and since then have not yet stopped, from 6 to 13 years I also played football. Sport is a significant component of my life. I’m happy to be able to help the children in Brazil with Inter Campus."
