Michael Jordan Motorsports Signs Bostrom

2011 AMA Superbike

If there was ever a motorcycle racer truly dedicated to the sport, Ben Bostrom would be the one. The Redding, Calif., rider had some ups and downs in AMA Pro Racing, but always ended up in the news due to his strong work ethic.

And this work ethic continues to pay off. For 2011, the 2009 AMA Daytona 200 winner and 2008 SuperSport Champion will be riding the Suzuki GSX-R1000 for Michael Jordan Motorsports in the 2011 AMA Pro Racing National Guard Superbike Championship series.

Kreig Robinson (Michael Jordan Motorsports Vice President of Corporate Relations) says: “Signing Ben Bostrom is another incredible step in our quest for a Superbike Championship.”

“Ben’s work ethic and level of dedication, as well as the team’s further development of the Suzuki GSXR-1000 superbike brings us closer to attaining a winning combination.”

For the 2010 AMA American Superbike series, Bostrom competed on the No. 155 Pat Clarks Motorsports Yamaha. The 36-year-old finished fifth overall, taking the podium eight times including his win at the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca, a race in which Bostrom competed with a mangled thumb.

It was rumored that Ben was going to Kawasaki for 2011, but now it’s confirmed that he’ll be competing on the Suzuki.

Michael Jordan Motorsports also announced that they are “pleased and proud to announce its continued partnership with the National Guard, again fielding a second AMA Pro Racing Superbike team with National Guard title sponsorship, in addition to its Jordan Suzuki team.”

The Jordan Suzuki team currently consists of Jake Zemke and Aaron Yates.

Michael Jordan Motorsports is proud to partner with: Jordan Brand (a division of Nike), National Guard, American Suzuki, Upper Deck, Hanes, Gatorade, Bazzaz, MMI – Motorcycle Mechanics Institute, Vortex Racing Components, Gemini Racing, K-Tech Suspension-Orient Express Racing, Maxima Racing Oils, K & N Air Filters, Dainese Leathers, AGV Helmets, Ancra Tie-downs, Chicken Hawk Racing Tire Warmers, Armour Bodies, DID Chains, Factory Pro Dyno, Roclun International, STAR Motorcycle School, Motion Pro Tools, Zero Gravity Windscreens, with transportation provided by Eastside Trucking.
