SuperTrapp: Bike Nite Food Drives

Motorcycle Charity

SuperTrapp, local performance exhaust manufacturer and Quaker Steak & Lube joined forces this summer to host Bike Nite Food Drives at three of Quaker Steak & Lube’s Ohio locations.

The message to motorcyclists and enthusiasts, as well as SuperTrapp, DCM, Maradyne and Quaker Steak & Lube employees was, "Fuel Your Passion While You Feed The Hungry."

Bike Nite attendees were encouraged to make a food donation and / or a minimum of a $5 monetary donation. Those who did, received a free, commemorative "Fuel Your Passion While You Feed The Hungry" SuperTrapp and Quaker Steak & Lube Bike Nite t-shirt.

Gina Pastuszynski (SuperTrapp’s Marketing Manager) says: "We encouraged everyone to fill up their saddle bags, purses, pockets, jackets and back packs with food and head out to Bike Nite Food Drives. The response was overwhelming! We greatly appreciate all of the riders and enthusiasts within our local communities that came together to make the SuperTrapp Bike Nite Food Drives a huge success."

"Bike Nites are infamous for a good time, great food, live music and loud pipe contests, but to couple all of that with supporting a great cause and helping to feed those without enough food right in our own back yards speaks volumes for the communities as a whole. We’re proud to have been affiliated with Quaker Steak & Lube and all of the generous individuals who fueled their passion while they fed the hungry."

SuperTrapp received 92.5 lbs. of food and $200.00 in monetary donations at the Sheffield Quaker Steak & Lube which took place on June 10, 2010 and benefited Second Harvest.

SuperTrapp received 95 lbs. of food and $286.00 in monetary donations at the Mentor location Bike Nite Food Drive on July 14, 2010 which benefited the Cleveland Foodbank.

The third and final Bike Nite Food Drive of the summer, which took place at the Valley View Quaker Steak & Lube on Aug. 18, 2010, warranted 300 lbs. of food and $534.00 in monetary donations also benefiting the Cleveland Foodbank. In total, SuperTrapp and Quaker Steak & Lube Bike Nite Food Drives collected 487.5 lbs. of food and $1,020.00 in monetary donations.

Bike Nite attendees who visited the 48 ft. SuperTrapp display trailer and submitted a contest entry form, were eligible for a chance to win a gift certificate redeemable for a SuperTrapp or Kerker exhaust worth up to $1,300.00.

Bob Parks was the lucky winner of the Free SuperTrapp Exhaust Giveaway at the Sheffield Bike Nite, followed by Joseph Yezzi at the Mentor Bike Nite Food Drive. The third and final winner of this summer’s SuperTrapp Bike Nite Food Drive Exhaust Giveaway was James Stumpf at the Valley View’s Bike Nite.
