2011 Victory Motorcycles Get 106 Motor

2011 V-Twins

In 2011 all Victory Motorcycles will now be equipped with the Victory Freedom 106 / 6 V-Twin, a muscular 106 cubic inch motor with a new-design 6-speed transmission. That doesn’t mean all Victory Motorcycles will produce the same power, however.

There are two different tuning stages, with the application tailored to the bike.

Victory’s Freedom 106 / 6 Stage 1 V-Twin is the less powerful motor, though it still produces a claimed 92 horsepower and 109 ft/lbs of torque.

The 106ci Stage 1 engine powers all 2011 touring motorcycles:

  • Victory Vision Tour
  • Victory Cross Country
  • Victory Cross Roads
  • Cory Ness Signature Series Cross Country
  • Arlen Ness Signature Series Victory Vision Tour

The Freedom 106/6 Stage 2 V-Twin with a special Stage 2 cam package is for the more aggressive bikes, with a claimed peak output of 97 horsepower and 113 ft/lbs of torque.

The 106ci Stage 2 version powers all cruiser models, including the three 8-Ball cruisers:

  • Vegas Jackpot
  • Hammer
  • Hammer S
  • Vegas
  • Kingpin
  • Hammer 8-Ball, Vegas 8-Ball and Kingpin 8-Ball
  • Zach Ness Signature Series Vegas 8-Ball

A Victory spokesman says that the company has “a track record of consistently outstanding reliability and dependability, which has led to the industry’s highest customer satisfaction ratings.”

To back that up, Victory has extended recommended oil service intervals for 2011 models. The recommended oil change interval for all 2011 bikes is now every 5,000 miles.
