TTXGP: Round 3 to Pembrey, South Wales

Zero Motorcycle Racing

Following the recent news that the scheduled third round of the TTXGP UK Championship at Donington Park could not go ahead due to delays in opening the track for racing, TTXGP are pleased to announce a new venue, Pembrey, South Wales.

The date for the race will remain unchanged: Aug. 22, with practice and qualifying occurring on Saturday, Aug. 21.

TTXGP will be joining the New Era Club again, who will be hosting rounds 8 and 9 of The Red Lion Trophy Championship at the popular circuit. Pembrey is a well‐liked motorcycle racing circuit and has many fans amongst the riders.

The full circuit crams a lot into its 1.456 mile lap, mixing high speed corners, tight sections and long straights. It really should test the riders and bikes, and getting the right balance with set up for the varying course characteristics could be a decisive factor in the fight for the top.

The battle for the championship is close and the riders are sure to be fighting for it as vigorously as they have been in the first two rounds. Jenny Tinmouth will be hoping for a similar dominant performance on Welsh soil, but clearly disappointed by the gap at Anglesey, her teammate Rob Moon is sure to be trying his hardest to come out on top in South Wales.

It is unfortunate that these unforeseeable circumstances have occurred, but the TTXGP team are excited about another trip to Wales and hope that with a couple of weeks to go, the teams preparation for the race won’t be hindered in any way and we can see an even bigger improvement in performance from the bikes. Hopefully the Welsh summer will hold out until the 22nd, although a wet race could level the field.

The last two rounds of the UK Championship, ending with the final at Brands Hatch on the 3rd October will be shown, along with the other TTXGP races on ESPN UK. TV and web listings are available at egrandprix.com/listings.
