Alvaro Bautista: No Language Barrier

MotoGP Report

Spanish rider Alvaro Bautista has admitted his feared his less than perfect command of the English language could present problems when he moved to the Rizla Suzuki team in the FIM MotoGP World Championship.

But Bautista’s fears were unfounded and the warm welcome he has received from all of the staff has helped him settle in alongside team-mate Loris Capirossi.

Bautista said: "When I first came to Rizla Suzuki I was a little bit unclear about what to expect because it was a new team and everybody speaks in English – even the Japanese staff!"

"I thought this might make things difficult because my English is not perfect and I thought it would be hard to work here, but it is the total opposite to that!"

"All the people in the team are very friendly and extremely professional and were from the very first moment that I arrived. I really feel like I am now a part of a family."
