Now HOG members everywhere can join the proud tradition of challenge coins with the first ever Harley Owners Group national challenge coins. Minted by official Harley-Davidson licensee Northwest Territorial Mint, the H.O.G. challenge coins are available to all HOG members.
The American-made solid brass coins feature the official Harley Owners Group logo on one side and the Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield on the reverse. H.O.G. General Manager Benny Suggs and 500 bikers were excited to see the first-ever challenge coins. They attended an event at Northwest Territorial Mint in Dayton, NV, on September 23, 2009, to witness the minting of H.O.G. national challenge coins and tour the plant. This event coincided with the 1,900-mile ride, which recreated the Pony Express route from St. Joseph, MO, to Sacramento, CA.
The challenge coin tradition is building momentum among Harley Owners Group members. Just as a Harley-Davidson is not merely transportation, a challenge coin is not merely a token.
