Riders of the popular BMW F650GS and F800GS motorcycles can now dramatically improve their Beamer’s lighting performance with two new PIAA lighting kits, one featuring compact PIAA Cross Country HID lamps, the other PIAA’s proven 1100X Platinum halogen lamps.
Both kits come complete with two PIAA lamps, pre-terminated relay/switch wiring harness, two aluminum brackets, mounting hardware and installation instructions.
The PIAA Cross Country HID features the industry’s smallest and most reliable ballast, making it amazingly compact: 2-inch lens in a small 2-9/16 inch diameter, 4-inch deep housing. The Cross Country HID utilizes a multi-surface reflector and 30-watt HID bulb that delivers a bright 12-degree driving lamp pattern. Durability has been built into the lamps, as well, with its hardened glass lens and machined anodized aluminum housing. Installation is "plug-and-go," without any external ballast wiring.
The PIAA 1100x Platinum halogen lamp is ideally suited for motorcycle applications, too. It features a PIAA Dichroic 55W=85W halogen bulb, a Silver PPS housing, chrome-plated aluminum trim ring and glass lens. The stylish bullet-shaped design perfectly accents the lines of BMW bikes.
MSRP of the BMW Cross Country HID kit, complete with mounting brackets (p/n 77082), is $625.95; the PIAA 1100X kit, complete with mounting brackets (p/n 77011), has a MSRP of $319.95.
For riders looking for more lighting performance out of their BMW F650GS and F800GS stock headlights, PIAA recommends upgrading to its Extreme White H7 bulb.
