    As the 2011 TTXGP season nears, CRP Racing says they can’t settle for second in the electric motorcycle racing series, as the team did in the 2010 European championship.

    So for 2011, CRP will launch a new model tagged the eCRP1.4, which is an improved model of the eCRP1.2 used in the 2010 year.

Both models will feature state-of-the-art AC induction motor, and advanced high energy, Lithium ion battery technologies.     Zero Motorcycles announced today the creation of its first street racing team and its plans to enter the upcoming 2010 TTXGP electric motorcycle series. Zero has indicated that its race-ready motorcycle will be using the same Z-Force powertrain technology that is currently used in its production electric motorcycles. Few additional details have been released on the development of Zero’s race bike, but it has been hinted that many of the design cues will come from the production Zero S street motorcycle.

    TTXGP is the world’s first zero carbon and zero emissions motorcycle race series.

    Following the success of the TTXGP race held on the Isle of Man on June 12, the FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) has decided to create a FIM Series for electric bikes in 2010. This new FIM Series will be run inside the Road Racing Grand Prix Commission, a great and innovative project led by Mr Azhar Hussain a UK Entrepreneur founder of the TTXGP.
