Blazusiak Wins Denver AMA EnduroCross

2011 AMA EnduroCross

Taddy Blazusiak is completely unstoppable in the 2011 AMA EnduroCross Championship. On Saturday at Denver, the Red Bull KTM rider Blazusiak took his fifth win of the AMA EnduroCross season, making for a perfect season.

Due to Blazusiak’s performance, he has earned the nickname "the machine one a motorcycle." But he still has much work ahead.

But now that he has a target on his back the competition is picking up, especially from his two biggest rivals FMF/KTM rider Mike Brown and Geoff Aaron, who even led the final race for a brief period after Taddy crashed in the matrix, a section of the course with closely spaced logs. Then Brown came down in a spectacular crash also in the matrix before making a good recovery to finish third. Aaron was second on the night.

Once again Taddy put in thrilling rides for this new discipline that is proving a crowd pleaser especially since its inaugural appearance in the 2011 X-Games. The Polish rider set the fastest hot lap where riders have a single lap against the clock. He then won his heat to secure best pick for the main event and went on to survive the ensuing attacks from Brown and Aaron to put yet another notch on his belt.

There are now just two race weekends left in the 2011 Endurocross season and Taddy is perfectly poised to retain the title. Boise, Idaho is next on the calendar on Oct. 22, 2011 where Endurocross will make its first appearance.
