Honda Africa Twin Enduro Sports Concept |
Ready For The Dirt

In stock configuration, the Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin is an impressive adventure bike. Using that adventure bike as a base, Honda R&D Europe has created the Honda Africa Twin Enduro Sports Concept rally-style motorcycle, which is very serious about off-road riding.
Debuted at 2016 EICMA show, the Honda Africa Twin Enduro Sports Concept has a number of features we would love to see on a for-sale version of the bike.
An impressive aluminum skidplate with carbon fiber wings protects the DCT transmission from the type of damage that can be inflicted at high-speed off-road. For improved engine performance and a healthy sound output from the liter-displacment parallel twin, the Termignoni pipe is race-ready. Beefing up the front end, there are Xtrig ROCS triple clamps, which feature an innovative clamping system for the forks.
There is a bit of a contradiction in the wheel department. The rims are a tubeless Excel design—21-inch front and 18-inch rear, naturally—but there are tube-type Michelin Desert Race tires mounted (140/80 rear; 90/90 front). Desert Race tires have 33 Dakar Rally wins to their credit, and work with the Michelin Bib-mousse no-flat system.
To cut weight, carbon fiber is liberally applied to the Honda Africa Twin Enduro Sports Concept adventure rally motorcycle. Honda R&D Europe, based in Rome, lovingly calls the concept bike Queen of the Off-Road.
