With a 1-1 day at the Spring Creek National, Hunter Lawrence regained the lead in the 2026 Pro Motocross Championship Series. Jett Lawrence suffered a hard crash with six minutes left in Moto 2, dropping him from the lead to P5. The crash cost Jett the championship series lead and the overall win at Spring Creek MX Park in Millville, Minn. Hunter now leads Jett by 10 points with four rounds remaining.
Haiden Deegan was P2 overall, both suffering and benefiting from crashes. His first-corner crash in the 1st moto put him in P31 after the first lap. However, Deegan charged through the pack to take P4. Deegan was comfortably in P3 in Moto 2 when Jett crashed, and Deegan inherited P2 in Moto 2 and the overall.
RJ Hampshire had a 3-4 day for P4 overall. Hampshire had a shot at the podium, but failed to pass Jorge Prado for P3 in the last few corners of Moto 2. Prado, who was collected in Deegan’s first moto crash, was 13-3 on the day for P6 overall.
Justin Barcia scored his first top five overall of the year, going 5-8. Barcia is the 11th rider of the year to break into the top five overall. In his return to the series after being injured in a first-moto, first-lap crash at the opening round, Eli Tomac had a 9-12 scorecard for P11 overall.
With the Lawrence Brothers continuing to dominate, having won every moto this year, Deegan trails Jett by 52 points. Deegan has a 27-point lead on Prado, who is P4 in the series standings.
