Alpinestars Daisy V3 Jeans Review: Women’s Motorcycle Pants

Two things that appeal to me about wearing blue jeans while riding a motorcycle: First, it puts me in a casual mindset rather than an aggressive one. Second, it’s an outfit that blends in easily and stays comfortable in off-bike social situations, like watching a sports event or meeting mates for game night. Off the bike, the Alpinestars Daisy V3 jeans look just like regular skinny jeans, with no bulky armor showing through.

Thanks to stretch denim, the Alpinestars Daisy V3 jeans pull on easily; no need to lie on my back to zip them up. Once on, they’re super comfortable. The cut is spot-on. They sit perfectly on my body, with a high waist that keeps my hips under control and prevents any riding down. I love the shaped waistband that rises slightly at the rear toward the small of your back. It eliminates that awkward gap and exposure when you’re in the riding position. Discreet darts at the knees and seat maintain those feminine curves.

The slim fit hugs like leggings, though without feeling restrictive. They’re generously long. Initially, I thought about shortening them. Instead, I just cuff them, so they work great with a range of footwear, whether I’m in riding shoes, ankle boots, or taller boots. The Alpinestars Daisy V3 jeans adapt, tucking into taller boots without hassle, even when doubled up from the cuff.

The Alpinestars Nucleon Flex Plus knee protectors are CE Level 1, aligning with the jeans’ casual mission. Thanks to venting, they produce no sweaty knees on hot days. They’re adjustable with three pocket positions for a custom fit. There are also internal pockets for adding optional hip protection.

Overall, the jeans are CE A Class-rated, making them appropriate for normal street bike riding. They’re one step up from low-speed, urban-only B-class, but behind AA for sport riding and AAA for the highest speed protection.

The front pockets are deep and useful. Often, women’s riding jeans have shallow pockets that barely hold a tissue. The Alpinestars Daisy V3 jeans let you stash essentials without worrying that they’ll escape. There’s also a small watch pocket, if you have something small and slim to slip in.

Branding is subtle. There’s a small logo on each knee side, one on the rear patch pocket, a stamped stud on the waist closure, an Alpinestars Protects tab under the waistband, and a leather-look patch at the back waistband. It sounds like a lot, but it’s nothing flashy. Also, I’ve washed them once so far—no shrinkage, fading, or loss of shape.

The Alpinestars Daisy V3 jeans are everything I want in motorcycle riding pants when I’m out for a fun ride. They are comfortable, and look as good on the bike as they do when I walk into The Rock Store. While they aren’t inexpensive at $265, the Daisy jeans offer the protection I need on a motorcycle and deliver the style I want at all times.
