Royal Enfield Slide School Announced: March 21 in Senoia, GA

Although Royal Enfield doesn’t sell dirt bikes or race bikes to the public, the India-based company is still heavily involved in American motorcycle racing, on and off the pavement. It’s not just about you coming out to watch professional riders have at it on modified Royal Enfields. Royal Enfield wants you to get in the saddle and take the Royal Enfield Slide School on March 21 at Senoia Raceway, about 45 minutes south of Atlanta.

Royal Enfield Slide School Announced: $300

The class is run by Slide School USA, and managed by Moto Anatomy and American Flat Track team owner Johnny Lewis, who is also a former professional racer. The $300 class, limited to 12 riders, starts at 8 a.m. and lasts three hours.

Royal Enfield Slide School Announced: Senoia Raceway

Students will hop on a Royal Enfield FT450, a modified version of the Guerrilla 450 street bike, and ride the beginner-friendly Senoia Raceway 1/5th mile oval. While you have to bring your own helmet, the school outfits you in boots, a hot shoe, pants, knee pads, a jersey, chest protection, and gloves.

Royal Enfield Slide School Announced: American Flat Track

The curriculum is designed to accommodate a broad range of riders and is intended for first-time flat trackers, though you’re still welcome if you have some flat-track experience. It is all about safely and successfully getting a motorcycle sideways in the dirt. The focus is on core flat track fundamentals:

  • Motorcycle balance
  • Body position
  • Corner entry
  • Throttle control
  • Controlling traction
  • Sliding technique
  • Confidence riding on dirt

With just a dozen students, the coaching can be tailored to each rider’s skill level and progression through the class.

After getting sideways in the morning, riders can return for the evening Yamaha Atlanta Short Track at Senoia Raceway, which is part of the 2026 Progressive American Flat Track Championship Series. The opening ceremonies kick off at 6:30 p.m, with four classes running during the evening program—Mission AFT SuperTwins, Kicker AFT Singles, AFT AdventureTrackers, and AFT ProSport 450. Moto Anatomy x Royal Enfield race team rookie Evan Renshaw will be out on the track as a favorite for the Slide School students to root for.

Slide School USA explains the day this way: “Ride the dirt. Learn the slide. Then watch the best riders in the world do it at full speed.”
