2026 Triumph TF 450-C and TF 250-C First Look: 8 Fast Facts

Triumph has expanded its off-road lineup again. Triumph started with the TF 450-X and 250-X motocrossers. The British marque recently expanded that with TF 450-E and TF 250-E enduro bikes. Now, Triumph wants a part of the cross-country GNCC market with the TF 450-C and TF 250C. Although primarily based on the motocrossers, the two C bikes also draw a bit from the enduro line. Allow us to sort out the 2026 Triumph TF 450-C and TF 250-C for you.

  1. Other than the motor, the 2026 Triumph TF 450-C and TF 250-C are identical. The larger displacement engine puts out more power, naturally, while the 250 is snappier with a much higher redline. There’s also a subtle change in the ergonomics, as the 250’s motor is incrementally narrower than the 450’s.

  1. The C motors are tuned specifically for cross-country use. The 450 and 250 produce more peak power than the E engine, though less than the X equivalents. The C transmissions are five-speed, like the X bikes, rather than the six-speed in the E models. An upshift-only quickshifter is standard, with the clutch required for upshifting between 1st and 2nd gears.

  1. You’ll find the same electronics package on the C bikes as the X and E models. Features include app tuning, two ride modes, traction control, and launch control.

  1. The TF 450-C and TF 250-C suspension units are shared with the X and E models, though the C’s KYB get their own tuning. While set up a bit softer for GNCC racing by Triumph, the KYB units are fully adjustable to each rider’s taste. The aluminum spine frame is also optimized for GNCC work.

  1. The C bikes use an 18-inch rear wheel. Dunlop Geomax AT82 rubber gets the call on the C models, compared to the AT81s on the E range. Also, the front tires on the Cs are wider.
