Kuryakyn, known for producing a myriad of aftermarket motorcycle components, has announced a partnership with MTX Audio of the MiTek Electronics and Communications Group.

The all-new Kuryakyn RoadThunder by MTX line is a full line of audio products that will be only available through Kuryakyn.

The Kuryakyn RoadThunder by MTX stands as a proving ground to display MTX’s audio technologies to the motorcycle world. Alongside Kuryakyn years of experience producing products for motorcyclists, the pairing is something that we hope is fortuitous. The complete line was unveiled at the V-Twin Expo in Cincinnati, Ohio.

“Kuryakyn is thrilled to partner with MiTek and their exceptional line of MTX Audio accessories for the motorsports industry,” said Kuryakyn VP of Brand Management Steve Veltri. “Combining two brands renowned for pushing the limits of design and technological innovation within their respective industries will undoubtedly deliver game-changing products and results. This partnership will firmly establish the footprint of both brands in the motorcycle audio segment.”

“The motorcycle accessory market is a segment that we began targeting in 2014,” said MiTek Senior VP of Sales and Marketing Mike Roberts. “Partnering with a brand like Kuryakyn allows us to reach millions of customers with a product that highlights legendary MTX performance while at the same time delivering the look and feel they expect from Kuryakyn. This is a very exciting opportunity for both our brands to showcase our leadership positions in what we each do best.”

Some of the first products to hit the market in the Kuryakyn RoadThunder by MTX line will be handlebar-mount self-amplified Sound Bars and 3-inch Speaker Pods that are able to release clear, distortion-free sound with a universal mountain for the most common sizing; 7/8’’ to 1-1/4’’ sizes.

The Speaker Pods will have two variants, one with and one without Kuryakyn RoadThunder by MTX Bluetooth Audio Controller for use with any Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or mp3 player. Also coming to the line is a direct replacement 120W 6.5’’ coaxial speaker and a 400W all-weather amplifier for select Harley-Davidson Electra Glide, Street Glide and Trike models.
