2016 KTM 250 SXKTM has recalled about 500 of its 2015/2016 KTM 250 SX and XC two-stroke motorcycles due to a fire hazard.The Austrian-based brand said under extreme riding positions, fuel can escape from the tank-breather assembly. IF this occurs, there’s a hazard of a fire, which can injure the rider.
KTM reports that there were no injuries reported.The KTM 250 SX and 250 XC were sold at authorized KTM dealers nationwide from August 2014 to December 2014 for about $7,900 for the 2015 model year, and from June 2015 to July 2015 for about $8,000 for the 2016 model year.KTM says consumers should immediately stop riding the recalled motorcycles and contact an authorized KTM dealer to schedule a free repair.
