With one round remaining in the 2015 Trail World Championship, Repsol Honda’s Toni Bou has secured yet another title – the ninth Trial (outdoor) title of his career.

Bou secures the 2015 Trial World Championship title at Paços de Ferreira, Portugal. With much pressure arriving from GasGas’s Adam Raga, Bou was able to put in the extra performance needed to earn clinch the title. At 2015 Portugal Trial, Bou finished six points of Raga and 18 ahead of Sherco’s Albert Cabestanay.

“Nine titles! I’m very happy. Today it seemed that the race could be more complicated but in the end it was quite easy,” Bou says. “Victory in these easy trials is morally very important and, as I said, my rival’s level made me improve mine. I want to thank my parents, my girlfriend and the whole team for their support to get this title. Thank you very much to all of you.”

With one Trials GP remaining, Bou has 311 points – 61 ahead of Raga and 99 ahead of Beta’s Jeroni Fajardo.

The last race of this Championship will be held next weekend, the Spain Trial GP, which will take place at the Galician town of Teo (A Coruña).
