Victory Motorcycles Recall

Polaris Industries – the parent company of Victory Motorcycles and Indian Motorcycle – has recalled 2,342 of certain model 2013-2015 Victory motorcycles.

Victory says the following models may have fuel-pump issues due to incorrectly crimped wiring during manufacturing:

  • 2013-2014 Cross Country
  • 2014 Cross Country Eight Ball
  • 2013-2014 Cross Roads
  • 2014 Cross Roads Eight Ball
  • 2015 Gunner
  • 2013-2014 Hammer Eight Ball
  • 2013 Hardball
  • 2013-2014 High Ball
  • 2013-2014 Jackpot
  • 2014 Ness Cross Country
  • 2013-2014 Vegas Eight Ball

Polaris says that the incorrectly-crimped wiring could cause the motorcycle to stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

Victory will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on January 19, 2015. Owners may contact Victory consumer service at 1-877-737-7172. Polaris’ number for this recall is V-15-01 A/B.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
