The FIM released the 2014 World Supersport provisional rider list, which features 23 riders on four manufacturers – Honda (CBR600RR), Kawasaki (ZX-6R), MV Agusta (F3 675) and Yamaha (YZF-R6).

Two riders have yet to be announced for Lorini Racing Team Honda and Core PTR Honda.

Last season, Yakhnich Yamaha’s Sam Lowes took his maiden Supersport title with six wins and a total of 11 podiums. This was the third title in the past five years for Yamaha.

But Lowes will not compete in 2014 World Supersport; he has moved to the Moto2 Championship with the Speed Up team.
