Brammo Recalls 2013 Empulse Electric Motorcycle
Brammo has recalled 605 of its 2013 Empulse motorcycles due to possible rear tail assembly issues.
Brammos says the affected Empulse electric motorcycles, which were manufactured from Nov. 19, 2012, through June 18, 2013, may have a rear tail assembly bracket that can fatigue and may break off.
If this happens, the tail piece can contact the rear wheel, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy for this recall campaign is still under development. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Brammo at 1-541-482-9555.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
