2013 BMW R 1200 GS Development Video, Part 3

Before the 2013 BMW R 1200 GS hits dealers, BMW Motorrad is keeping the anticipating building with a series of videos. Attached above is part three of three in the series, titled “Unveiled: the development of the new BMW R 1200 GS.”

The YouTube series tells the developmental story of one of the most anticipated adventure bikes of 2013, the revamped and now semi-water cooled (35%) R 1200 GS.

Speaking of the video, BMW says: “The GS has defined the travel enduro segment for over 32 years, setting the benchmark in terms of robustness, reliability and performance. So how is it possible to improve on such an extremely sophisticated bike as the R 1200 GS? In this three-part feature, BMW Motorrad provides an absolutely unique insight into the development and production of the new icon, the R 1200 GS”

Featured in part three of the video series is Reinhard Joos (Project Lead Drive Unit), Laszlo Peres (Research Chassis Engineer 1971-2005; one of the creators of the GS), and Antonius Ruhe (Project Leader R1200GS).
