Paul Jr Designs SKILSAW-inspired Chopper Auction
To celebrate the 75th anniversary of “The Saw That Built America,” the Worm Drive SKILSAW, SKIL Tools is auctioning off a custom daily rider chopper that was built to commemorate the milestone.
The power tools company partnered with Paul Teutul Jr. and his crew at Paul Jr. Designs to design the chopper along with a second custom show chopper that was unveiled in Las Vegas earlier this year. Thousands of fans viewed the choppers as they toured the western part of the country stopping at over 60 events and most recently were on display at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota.
The 10-day auction of the daily rider SKILSAW-inspired chopper runs through this Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, when the chopper will be sold through eBay Motors.
eBay Motors is no stranger to the motorcycle community. In Q2 2012, eBay Motors sold a motorcycle part every 3 seconds and a motorcycle every 7 minutes. The quickest motorcycle brand to get purchased was Honda, which sold every 28 minutes, followed by Harley-Davidson, 29 minutes, and Yamaha, 66 minutes.
One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to The Home Depot Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure that every veteran has a safe place to call home.
Enthusiasts can bid and receive bid updates at SkilsawChopperAuction.com beginning now through the end of the auction. Find additional information on SKIL, the MAG-75 Worm Drive SKILSAW and images of both choppers at skiltools.com or by becoming a fan of SKIL at Facebook.com/SKIL. Bidding for this one-of-a-kind, custom chopper begins at $25,000.
