2012 Sons of Anarchy
Since 2008, the crew at Bartels Harley-Davidson in Marina del Ray, Calif., have been tied to FX’s hit series Sons of Anarchy.
Back then, producers of Sons of Anarchy asked Bartels’ General Merchandise Manager, Debi Black, to provide leathers for the cast and crew. And now, as Sons of Anarchy enters its fifth season, Bartels Harley-Davidson has further recognition with the show after inking a licensing deal with the show to produce 100 limited-edition SOA motorcycles. The bikes will go for around $25,000, and will be available at select Harley dealers this fall. The only information 20th Century Fox Consumer Products (licensing group for FX TV) released is that 100 Sons of Anarchy LE bikes will be produced; no details, such as what models Bartles H-D will use, have been released. But reports say the bikes will be up for sale this August during the 2012 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, an event that will precede the airing of the fifth season of Sons of Anarchy, which will begin this September.Besides the custom SOA Harleys, 20th Century Fox Consumer Products will also be working with other famed retailers on the release of new officially licensed Sons of Anarchy products, such as apparel, novelties and games here in the US and internationally.Last year, Sons of Anarchy broke some records, becoming the most-viewed series in TV history (viewers 18-49), averaging 5.5 million viewers per episode. And the series will be definetly be around for another two season, considering FX has signed with the series through seven seasons.Stay clicked to UltimateMotorCycling.com
