BMW MetroMotorbike

The term unique is sometimes overly used by many in the world of custom motorcycles. But when one views a MetroMotorbike, the term unique is a must.

These creations arrive from the mind of David Ballinger, creator of the Florida-based design and consulting company, MetroPrefab.

Ballinger, whose first motorcycle was a 50cc PUCH when he was five-years old, designed the MetroMotorbike by blending “Ducati technology, BMW engines, Harley attitude and Cafe Racer styling.”

Each MetroMotorbike features a BMW Engine, a Ducati Front End, Brembo brakes, Air Ride suspension, Kevlar Exhaust and adjustable Bobber seats. The MetroMOTORBIKE is available in two finishes and two tank styles with a body based on the BMW R100 – choose between carbon fiber or painted finishes, and either a vintage Ducati or Harley Fat Boy gas tank.

Ballinger says Metro Motorbike is still in its early days, but currently in full production. A few bikes were sold already, including the first MetroMotorbike that was sold to a New York City resident over the winter.

And from the looks of these machines, those customers can rightly say they own a truly “unique” custom motorcycle.
