2012 AMA Superbike
After back-and-fourth battles throughout the 2011 AMA Superbike Championship, Yoshimura Suzuki’s Blake Young finished second overall, five points behind Monster Graves Yamaha’s Josh Hayes.
But Young returns for 2012, once again with full-factory support aboard the Yoshimura Suzuki GSXR-1000, a very potential brand in the 2012 AMA SBK Championship; in the past 13 titles, Suzuki has won the title.
The 24-year-old Wisconsin native will start his fourth season with Yoshimura Suzuki in 2012, and with a new teammate – Chris Clark.
Blake Young (Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000 Superbike) says: "I’m really excited for 2012. I know I’ve got the best bike in the paddock with the Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000. It’s been like riding a real rocketship for me and I learned a lot about what it takes to win a championship this year. We came up just a little short and I don’t want to be in that position in 2012.
"We’ve got a great crew – the best bike – and a smarter rider; and I just want to go out and win races and bring home that championship for the team. I’m gonna do everything I can to make sure that happens."
