Motorcycle Industry News

The US powertrain and motorcycle company US Highland has added to its management team, the company announced this week.

James B. McCoy has accepted the position of Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Greg Campbell has been appointed to Corporate Vice President of International Business.

McCoy holds degrees in Finance and Management Information Systems from the University of Tulsa. His career spans financial consulting at Merrill Lynch during the 1980s and early 1990s, CFO duties for two software startup companies, real estate management and most recently working as a strategic component of Quizno’s Subs transforming it from a small Denver Based multi-unit operation of just over 50 stores to an international franchise of over 5,000 units.

McCoy was responsible for the development of Northeast Oklahoma and the Northwest Arkansas markets, where he sold over 65 franchises and opened 45 stores.

Robert Harris (Chairman of US Highland) says: "Mr. McCoy has already proven his value within the new management team at US Highland.

"Jim is a multi-talented executive with real world experience in franchising, sales and marketing and when you couple that with his passion for competitive racing you get the perfect mix of skills to lead our sales and marketing success."

McCoy also has over 15 years of participation in off- and on-road racing experience making him a perfect selection for US Highland’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He owns several off-road competition motorcycles and will soon be competing on a US Highland competition bike in future amateur racing events.

John R. Fitzpatrick III (CEO of US Highland) says: "I am ecstatic about having Mr. McCoy on the management team. I have known Jim for over twenty years and never cease to be amazed by his intensity at work.

" He is an over achiever at everything he does and accomplishes every goal he sets for himself. Whether racing in off-road competitions or exceeding all performance expectations while working with Quizno’s franchising. He delivers on his promises and will be a big part of our success at US Highland."

Campbell holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Tulsa. He also holds an Electrical Engineering Technology degree and is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Additionally, he completed Southern Methodist University’s program for Executive Development.

Mr. Campbell has more than twenty-five years of experience within manufacturing and mass production operations. His experience includes engineering, manufacturing, international business development and executive leadership. Prior to joining US Highland, Mr. Campbell held the position of Director – International Business for Frasca International, Inc., and most recently for Fortune #159 L-3 Communications as Vice-President & General Manager for L-3 AMI. Mr. Campbell was responsible for executive management at L-3 AMI.

Robert Harris says: "Greg’s executive experience within a Fortune 500 organization adds great value to US Highland, both strategically and tactically. Greg’s international business experience will enhance US Highlands worldwide marketing objectives and help expand our products and services throughout the globe."

John R. Fitzpatrick III says: "I have known Greg for over 25 years and have been closely associated with him during the last 7 years. His experience and knowledge are great assets for US Highland and a welcome addition to our team.

"His contributions will be immediate and further strengthen our ability to capture new opportunities and expand our sales nationally and internationally," Mr. Fitzpatrick concluded.
