Valerie Thompson Land Speed Record Attempt
Martech Services Company, as the primary sponsor and the La-Man Corporation, as an associate sponsor have agreed to sponsor 2-Time Land Speed Record Holder Valerie Thompson in her attempts to set new national and world speed records on a BMW S 1000 RR Superbike. Thompson hopes to break into the “200 MPH Club” by eclipsing her “personal best” top speed of 201 mph at the famed Bonneville Salt Flats.
Valerie Thompson says: “We are delighted that Martech Services Company and their sister-company, La-Man Corporation has decided to join Valerie Thompson Racing in our attempts to set new speed records this year.
“We just picked up the team’s new BMW at the Go AZ Motorcycles Scottsdale dealership; I can’t wait for the team to start prep work for the Texas Mile event next month. We came close to setting a record with an Alter/Bivins prepared BMW Superbike in 2011, so it was my first choice for all the land speed racing events we will compete in this year” she added.

We have followed her astonishing career and decided the time was right for Martech Services Company to support her racing efforts this year.”
Mr. Kurt Gilbertson, Sales Manager for La-Man Corporation agreed as well.
In addition to the Martech Services Company and La-Man Corporation, CTEK Battery Chargers, TROON Enterprises, Swisstrax, and Stand Up Photos will also return as sponsors for this year’s campaign. This season, the team will enjoy the added support of Worldwide Bearings and JEGS.
