AMA Supercross: Rattray Injury Update

AMA Supercross Lites

During Oakland AMA Supercross, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki Lites rider Tyla Rattray crashed during his heat race, injuring his back.

After further evaluation, the South African rider, who finished fourth in Los Angeles, third in Phoenix and second in the season-opener at Anaheim, suffered a concussion and fracture to his C7 vertabrae.

Due to the injury, Rattray was forced out of Oakland, and will now need four weeks to recover.

Tyla Rattray (Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki Supercross) says: "I’m really bummed out about my injury, but I’m very thankful that it didn’t end up worse. I just want to thank everyone for their tremendous support. Hopefully I’ll be back soon."

Rattray’s team will announced when he’ll return to action.
