2012 Suzuki V-Strom
With the goal of creating a "comfortable adventure tourer," Suzuki has redesigned the V-Strom 650 ABS for 2012.
The updated V-Strom features a new powerplant-though still a liquid-cooled DOHC V-twin-for increased torque in the low- and mid-range, plus a boost in horsepower at high rpm.
First through fifth speeds have been tightened up for increased performance, leaving sixth as an overdrive. Ergonomically, there is a new fairing with more protection, plus an three-way, adjustable windscreen.
The 5.3-gallon fuel tank has been narrowed at the front, and there are three seats available so the rider can personalize the V-Strom – a stock of 32.9 inches and 0.8 of an inch either higher or lower.
