Since its inception on the sportbike market in 2004, the FZ6 has catered to the entry-level rider as well as the experienced commuter who seeks back-road fun without breaking the bank.
The FZ6 has been a popular model in Yamaha’s lineup since, and continues for 2012, but as the more modern FZ6R, the R added to the name back in 2009.
The FZ6R is the younger brother of the FZ1 and FZ8, and features an R6 motor that’s tuned down a bit for real-world riding.
The 2012 FZ6R also features full fairings, a 30.9-inch seat height that’s adjustable 3/4 of an inch higher or lower, adjustable handlebars and comfy ergonomics.
