For 2012, Yamaha returns with its "true" naked sportbike, the FZ8. The 2012 FZ8 bridges the gap between its siblings, the older FZ1 and the younger FZ6R.

The motorcycle features a 779cc engine that features technology from the R1 and R6 sportbikes, including forged aluminum pistons and ceramic-composite-coated cylinders.

The middleweight machine, which features upright ergonomics and muscular styling, is only available in one color combination: Matte Black / Matte Black.

Yamaha says: "This bike simply excels, both in the morning commute and on that spirited weekend ride on a twisty back country road."

The FZ8 is Yamaha’s answer to the do-it-all motorcycle, providing sportbike fun in it’s purest form, but also a daily commuter with comfortable ergos. And the naked package is offered for under the $8700 mark.
