Sturgis Buffalo Chip: Free iPhone App

2011 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

The Legendary Buffalo Chip is stepping into the age of the smart phone with an interactive, informative and exciting Buffalo Chip iPhone App.

With the Buffalo Chip iPhone App campers can make a reservation, find out what bands to see, investigate details about events, customize your own schedule, rent additional camping amenities and to connect with rally goers as a whole.

The app scrolls through profiles of bands that will be playing, while providing information about dates and times for concerts.

Once you see a band you like you can click, make reservations and you’ll be guaranteed not to miss your favorite shows. Users can also leave comments about the shows and confirm attendance to generate buzz for various concerts.

The Buffalo Chip app also provides descriptions of additional events that will be happening around town during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Simply click on the Events tab and you can scroll through information about Michael Lichter’s Motorcycles As Art exhibit, The Legends Ride or any of the other awesome and amazing events the Chip has planned for their 30th Anniversary.

Even as the countdown to Sturgis is on, the Buffalo Chip is constantly adding new events, bands and amenities. Users can access the latest news on the Newsfeed and access the Chip’s Social Feeds posts on Facebook and Twitter. This is something users want to check on frequently as the Chip is posting updates, giveaways and contests regularly.

As campers make their plans, questions come up and the Chip has easy answers on their FAQs page. Can I bring my pet? Can I make a reservation for a certain camping site? Is there food available? This tab is stuffed full of great information that will come in handy for every app user.

To allow campers to interactively connect with each other, the iPhone app has a Userwall, which allows campers to add a photo and post comments about anything. Say you’re walking through the tent city and see a bike that you think every other camper should have the pleasure of seeing, just snap a shot, post the photo and comment and broadcast your experience. It’s a great way to connect with fellow campers and Sturgis-goers.

The new Buffalo Chip App is available currently for iPhones by downloading it Free at the App Store.

For thirty years the Legendary Buffalo Chip has proven itself as the heart of Sturgis Rally Week. Poised and ready to once again offer their visitors the complete biker experience, the Legendary Buffalo Chip has rounded up an enormous selection of biker-centric fun and festivities in addition to offering the summer’s biggest and most authentic music experience of Rally Week. Reservations for multi-day passes or daily admissions available online at or by calling 605-347-9000 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. (MST) Monday through Friday.
